27 July–2 August 2026 · San Rafael, Segovia
San Rafael celebrates one of its most eagerly awaited weeks: seven days of music, local traditions, theatre, peñas and lively mountain-town atmosphere at the foot of the Guadarrama Mountains.

If you are planning a break in Segovia, this week is a wonderful opportunity to discover San Rafael at its most lively. The programme combines much-loved local celebrations with live music, cultural events and activities to enjoy by day and by night.
Highlights worth adding to your diary
Opening speech and start of the festivities
A lunchtime vermouth with a brass band sets the festive mood. At 20:00 the opening speech is followed by the ceremonial rocket and an open-air dance with the Nueva Banda orchestra.
Tradition, theatre and live orchestra
The day brings together the traditional Quintos events, free theatre at the Cultural Centre at 22:00 and an open-air dance with the Nebraska orchestra.
Theatre, dancing and fancy dress
The evening continues with comedy at the Cultural Centre, the Pikante orchestra and the adult fancy-dress competition at midnight.
The fullest day of the week
Children’s activities, the traditional street event, afternoon music and a big night in Plaza de Castilla with the Dier orchestra and Disco Galaxy.
A family finale
The final day includes the traditional street event, children’s fancy dress and live music with Los Arenales before the prize-giving.
Music and life in the streets
Street parades, peñas, brass bands and a varied programme turn central San Rafael into the place to meet throughout the week.
Celebration and relaxation, without giving up either
The best way to enjoy these days may be to combine the village atmosphere with moments of genuine calm. In San Rafael, you can join the celebration and, a few hours later, return to the gardens, the pool and the quiet of the mountains.
Your pause between one plan and the next
Hotel Rural La Viña is a small adults-only boutique hotel in San Rafael, with seven suites featuring private hot tubs, a seasonal pool and a family restaurant for a distinctive festival-week escape.
